International Higher Education and Research Management

Professional Higher Education and Research Management - universities around the world are facing challenges arising from a quickly changing environment. These stem from, among others, demographic change, technological change, political change and changes in financial allocation. Against this background, institutions of higher education are recognizing that managers in higher education need preparation and require diverse skill sets in order to do their jobs more effectively.

DIES International Deans' Course

Towards meeting this need, the DIES International Deans' Course offers training in higher education management in an international context. Designed for newly appointed deans and heads of departments from Southeast Asia and East Africa, the program supports these decision-makers who carry enormous responsibility in the administration and management of faculties. The IDC is jointly run by the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD), the German Rectors' Conference (HRK), the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation (AvH), the Centre for Higher Education Management (CHE) and the Osnabrück University of Applied Sciences.
